Brand new Medium Format Film SLR - sort of...

And it takes Pentax lenses with an adapter...

The NONS SL660 is an EF-mount interchangeable lens camera that uses Fujifilm Instax Square Film: Digital Photography Review

For those not interested in the link to the "other" site, it's a kickstarter for a medium format SLR that takes Fuji Instax Square film.
It has a Canon EF lens mount natively, with lenses built in the camera to allow coverage of the film (best results with 28-60-ish mm lenses).

It can be used with other mount lenses via adapters - I'm not sure how those adapters handle differences in registration distance.

Pre-order pricing is ~$500, which is probably $100 less than "regular" price (whatever that means in Kickstarter-world).

That's a wildly specialist thing, and I don't want one, but it is interesting...

Neat idea.

If it sells well will former film camera manufacturers take notice?

Interesting....

It looks like it probably contains something like a 2X teleconvertor to expand the 43mm image circle of a Canon EF lens into the 86mm circle needed to cover 62mm x 62mm Instax square film.

Given that Instax film only resolves about 10-12 lines/mm, the final image is probably not much better than a 2 MPix digital camera.

I'd bet that some enterprising film lover will find a way to cut up a roll of 120 film into instax-sized squares to see how this device handles "real" film. (The only tricky part is to attach a light-proof catch-box to keep the exposed film safe until the photographer can get back to their darkroom.)

P.S. Any adapter between Canon EF an other camera makes would handle the registration distance.

I saw a review of it in The Phoblographer:
