A few more MZ-S cameras on eBay

I just did a search tonight for another MZ-S on eBay.

I am not sure I need another but I thought I would share this info with others. I just purchased one in used but near perfect condition (body + bg10) for $650.00. Now I'm seeing MZ-S bodies selling for up to or over $1000.00. Is the camera really worth that much?

There are two sellers that seem more reasonable:
Item number: 170285148249
- A buy it now for $ 549.00 (he has some negs but I checked them out and it seems like there were unwarranted negs.) - 1 more day!

and

Item number: 200287524586
- Good ad and perfect fb rating... camera with a bunch of extras in auction format, currently listed for $210.00. This seller is also willing to sell early for $640.00. 4 more days for this auction.

There is another one but this is a 0 fb seller. I'd never trust buying from this one. The others all appear to be selling out of China.

I remember a year or two ago when I was looking at one, and they can be had with grip for $400-$500. Around the same time I was at my local camera store, just happened to look way up to the top of the shelf behind the counter, and there was a new, in box, MZ-S. Still with it's 999 price tag on it. The guy said he would sell it to me for $400 but I couldn't justify it at the time. If only I could go back.

KEH has one for $499 or 569 with either an EX or EX+ rating and their stuff comes with a 14 day no hassle return policy and a 60 day warranty.

The eBay average 90 day final value for the Pentax MZ-S is now at $610.00 (give or take a few dollars).

I included only auctions that completed, I did not take into account various configurations (e.g. BG-10, lens or not).

That seller's fb appeared very unfair!

That leaves item # 200287524586 (now at around $400) and item # 170286735787 (around $400 - but I'm not sure I would ever buy from a seller with 0 fb).

200287524586 seems like a really good deal, esp. if you want a fish eye lens.

It's tempting to get another MZ-S but the wife would never allow it.
