Nice review there Mr K100d... I wish I'd seen it earlier.
Having said this I bought a ZX-L tonight just prior to reading you posting for $50 us. Mine looks pretty mint, and interestingly from the underneath picture of it on ebay, it's made in Japan, not China.

Having enjoyed the full frame view through my Pentax P30, I'm a little disappointed to read the viewfinder view is a not much different from the K100d...
Perhaps I should get a Super program for that kind of big view goodness

None the less, it seems I have a pretty good film camera coming in the mail

Well I got my LX-L yesterday, it seems pretty nice, but needs batteries before I can be sure...
The reason for this post? the Battery door, wow K100d I see what you mean, it's horrible, and looks like too much action in the future will cause it to just snap off...
Anyone found replacements?

I find the battery door OK, is not so bad
But you can always get the FG battery pack, and do not take it out

except the battery door on the grip isn't very good either
the person who sold me the ZX-L gave me their grip where the battery door had snapped and was somehow superglued back together

Thank you for the review. I should of done a search first before I posted my question about the ZX-L. The ZX-L looks like a great camera and I hope the seller still has the camera.
The next film camera on my list will be the MZ-S.
