Hello,

I was recently given a Film Pentax K2 SLR, and the finder was black. I took off the lens and lowered the mirror by hand - it snapped back up when shooting. However, the mirror does not reset when winding (finder remains black). I've consulted the manual but I can't see anything there related to this. Just wanted to check that I'm not missing anything and the mirror reset is likely busted? In which case, I'll find somebody to look at it or maybe attempt a repair.

I've reset my stuck K2 mirror by giving it a quick smack from the bottom once...

This is a very common problem with K2 cameras and indicates that it needs a good CLA (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust) which is usually quite costly for a K2.
