Séamuis, if you ever find one on the bay, make sure it has the rechagable pack and not the setup for the 510v battery. That battery was about $30-40 in 1975 when I was using the Strobonar 880. Now days, when you can find the battery, it's around $100. And the battery doesn't last very long between shoots and is not rechargable.

I have the Strobanar 710 that I got for $11. It had everything including filters. It would work plugged up but would hold a charge for only 1 flash. I checked the pack and it was corroded. I ordered 4 sub-C cells that have the tabs. I got them on monday. If a get some time this weekend, I'm going to solder up the new pack. The cells cost me $16 with shipping. The key is to verify what cells the pack takes and get the most suitable ones. I'll take some images of the process.
