I have the same setup here, although I haven't put my Tak on the camera since it's yellowed :/ The Spotmatic is a lot of fun to use, though.

I used the Spotmatic and a Yashica FX-2 with a Yashica 50mm 1.9 to take the same pics and they came out about the same

That kind of a day, with that kind of subject matter, is the reason they invented the term "fill flash."

The next time you find yourself in a situation like that, do a shot without flash, and then one WITH the flash. You'll be amazed.

But I gotta tell you--I love those shots, except for the flower ones. I've shot and seen ENOUGH flowers in my life.
