Nice work Nick.
What is your opinion of the Rolleiflex Planar as compared to the Hasselblad Planar?
I kinda prefer the look I got from my Rolleiflex so I ended up selling my Hasselblad.
Honestly I don’t think I could tell the two apart in any meaningful way… I prefer the Rollei, but that’s due to the shooting experience rather than the output.

In terms of IQ both are very good (obviously). I think the limiting factor is probably my scanning workflow with the V550. I suspect both lenses have a level of performance that I’m not seeing with flatbed scans. I’ve also never shot the two side by side with a comparison in mind - since I got the 2.8D I’ve only run one roll through the 500CM.

Why do you prefer the Rollei version?

Mostly I found that I preferred the tonal rendering of the Rolleiflex Planar. I found that the Hasselblad Planar was more contrasty whereas the Rollei had smoother tones.
This could all just be in my mind, but that is what I found. The lens on my 2.8C is probably one of my all time favorite lenses.
