Back on topic: the last photo I’ll post from Greece, 1978. Just as the ones posted before taken with a SP 500, on Ilford HP5 film developed in Ilfosol 2.

It would appear that satellite trails are much more significant with the northern celestial pole. I did have to do a bit of re-touching on my scan to get rid of some distracting trails.

I have no experience with the southern hemisphere, but here in Austria you can hardly take a wide angle night sky shot without one ore several satellites in the frame.
