Still in the packaging? I'm impressed.

I'll be watching this one out of curiosity.

Hmm, that's interesting. And a little bit weird, too. Not that I'm interested at all in this camera, but whatever. I don't mind the 'charm' of slight wear. How and/or why would anyone keep a camera in it's original packaging for over 40 years? This ponders me...

Very nice - I'd be torn between shelving it and actually *using* it.

Nah, already have a nice SP - don't want to turn into a collector...

Anyone care to guess what it ends up going for?

I'll start... $1,000

Mike

Lower.

$1000 is what the MIB LX - that caused such a stir here last fall - went for.

I don't do collector cameras either, BUT I still think its cool. I'm guessing $500ish.

Exactly what I was thinking. Did they not like it? I'm afraid I would not be able to keep my hands off of it. Second I got it I'd tear the package open and load it up with some film. I think its best if I don't bid on this one.

according to the seller he bought the camera at an estate sale and near as he can tell was it was supposedly a gift that the person never used and put in a closet until the estate went up to sale. take it with a grain of salt but that camera sure does look new to me

How come there's not one photo showing the camera unwrapped?

I don't buy it--seems fishy.

Also, if you study the one photo where the lens is peaking out of the plastic, it sure doesn't look mint.

Finally, they should be giving the camera's serial #--not the lens's or the copyright date on the manual.

because the seller doesn't want to degrade the 'mint' status that's why. in what photo does the lens not look mint? I think you are seeing the scuffs and scratches in the plastic wrap with the strong lighting from the flash. im sure if you ask, the seller will give you the cameras serial number. nothing looks fishy to me.

im guessing between 400-500 USD. if it stays under 300 I may bid.

KEWL! I would bid around $300 for it, but I'd like to use it so I'll leave it to collectors
I prefer spending $200 in a user-camera + CLA
and the other 100 in a lens.

Titrisol -- this could be just the camera for your signature line.
