MZ-M and older flash?

I've got my MZ-M, and I've got some older flashes (with triple digit trigger voltages), and I was wondering: Is the MZ-M restricted to how much trigger voltage it can accept before damage will occur to the camera, or can I stick my Vivitar, Starblitz etc... on it without worrying about frying the camera?
