Thanks guys! I'm shooting a black and white roll right now and can't wait to see what she gives me.

I'm now the aspiring hoarder of a K1000 and an MV as well as my K200D. I like the looks and size of the MV. It must have been a nice camera in its day. The K1000 is only a year or so older than the one I had when I was a kid, so there's some sentimental value there. I mainly get them to see what lenses I can use with my digital, but the film cameras I have are both in excellent condition. I mainly just keep them for looks. I don't ever intend to go back to film at this point. Unless I pick up a 645 for cheap that is.

It never happened unless you have pictures to prove it . . . Let's see the cameras!

Welcome to the forum Don.

Best I could do with my cell phone camera. It's a small collection, but I'm looking to pick up some more stuff soon.

Nice kit, Don! I had an Albinar lens like the one you have. Do you like it? Would love to see the Super-Tak 200/4 as well.

But..on the car? ON THE PAINT? *shiver*

I was thinking the same thing - those metal camera bodies scraping on the car hood! (but I'm sure he was careful )

Oh, that car has seen worse. Its a tough old war horse. I'll get some better pictures of the Tak with my real camera. I'm waiting for my screw mount adapter to arrive so
I can shoot with it.

As for the Albinar, I haven't tried any film in that K1000 and it won't mount on my K200D, so I can't comment. Its in amazing condition though. 20 years old and still has the little gold inspection sticker in mint condition.

You will probably find that you get better contrast and less lens flare by using a lens hood with that Takumar-A zoom. The ME in black is a nice looking body.

three just out of the "shop"

It's been a good summer for camera restorations. These all came to me as junkers:

The K1000 has its first roll inside now. The other two have been tested and and make nice purty pictures!

Picked this up for $15 at a flea market in Santa Cruz, CA. It's not in the best shape cosmetically, but seems to be in perfect shape mechanically. Just when I thought I had gotten over my LBA, now I'll be coveting M42 lenses!

Drool worthy. The Tank, The Professional, and The Compact, all in black, all together.
