Flickr: Discussing Superia 1600 in I Shoot Film
S-1600 and N-1600 is the same emulsion with different edge markings. I've shot tons of both:

N-1600:

Very Expired S-1600:

I know it is sort of a bad example, I've not shot any fresh S-1600 and I don't see any really well exposed shots from it because I always use it when it is VERY dark.

Yeah. I like it. And I'm not big on color. (Hey, I have a roll of it that a friend sent me to try. I'll have to do that at some point. )

I think this red tonality suits the 2nd picture quite well. Good pictures!
I can find Superia 1600 in France, I'll give it a try.

This is incredible. I've never seen such good high Iso film shots, and the colour is still looking good.
Love the first shot

Film is genearlly very expensive here, unless you can find expired stuff. 1600 speed film can look pretty good, but you generally need to nail the exposure and focus to get it to look even reasonable. It helps shooting at at 1250 to overexpose it just a bit, too.

Great shots TWoK. Film is amazing....

And, of course, the Japanese are the best at making something mundane like film shopping look neat and appetizing.
