The lenses for these things are quite good, especially the 70mm. However, the limitations is the negative size. These things are subminiature. However, these are as good as you are going to get on 110 film perhaps in the ~ 16mm category as well. The film actually improved a lot from the late 70s until the final run by Fuji.

My sister-in-law had one when these were new. Her 3x5/4x6 prints were always quite good.

I have a pair of Autos and am currently working on a long-distance purchase of a Super.

Some Walgreens stores carry house label film but it seems to be kind of a hit-or-miss thing. Like nearly all 110 film I see these days it has an ISO rating of 200, which kind of sucks for a completely automatic camera that was designed for 100 and 400. The common eBay price of $5/roll plus shipping turns me off but lately eBay's the only place I'm seeing 400.

I wonder if Pentax would've ever made a model with more manual exposure control had the camera stayed in production. It would've been a great feature to have and I'll bet an electronics guru could possibly hack one to allow it...might be something interesting to try with my extra Auto! If I get the Super I'm going to try shooting 200 rated at 400 with the exposure compensation turned on.

I send my 110 to Dwayne's for processing, and Pearson Imaging in Minnesota does nice scans. I've modified a couple of 110 slide mounts in order to scan with my Canoscan 8800.

That Ricoh is a very neat idea, but the price is a bit eyewatering! It had better be good for that sort of money...

IIRC the Pentax 110 range were not good sellers, which may explain why they haven't popped back up with a digital range that will take the old lenses.

I have a non-working Auto 110 and did have a fully functional one with the wide angle lens, however when I looked recently it seems to have gone walkabout. I might buy another one at some point if I see a nice example for a fair price, as I still have the proper leather hard case that I bought a couple of years ago.

Smaller than half frame sounds deliciously low-fi...
