Hi can anyone recommend a reputable and honest camera repair shop? I have a ME Super with a jammed winder. I am in New York but anywhere in the country would do. Thanks!

I would recommend Camera Works in Latham. I've only ever sent lenses for repair to them, but I believe they should be able to fix cameras as well. Their service is extremely professional and cheap, albeit a little slow at times. It also works great because they're probably within walking distance to you. Definitely check them out (not their official site, just their contact information):

I just had two old cameras repaired at Professional Camera Repair in Houston, TX. They did the work quickly, and it seems that everything works as it should. I know the folks (many professionals) at the Texas Photo Forum recommend them.

Suggest you send it to forum member Eric Hendrickson.
Eric worked for Pentax for many years and specializes in repairing Pentax cameras.
It will be repaired quickly and expertly, and probably at far lower cost.
