it doesn't look like light leaks to me. I'm almost thinking that it may be some sort of internal reflection. However since I've never seen anything like it I really don't know

Are they on the negatives?

to me, it looks like internal reflections or crinkled, damaged film (before or after exposure and development).

I'd like to know for sure, because it is odd. I have seen something similar from damaged film before, but it wasn't in quite so much of a pattern as random light spots (dark spots on the negatives).

Thanks for ur response ... Yes these spots are on my Negatives (dark spots but no physical damage on negatives). There are 5-6 exposures having such light patterns .. I used a normal Kodak 100 ASA roll (for test purpose)

Regards,
Santosh.

When the cameras empty can you take a pic of the insides, and post it. I'm just wondering if there's something a little unusual with yours, that someone might notice

With the shutter closed, hold it up to strong light such as sunlight, and see if light leaks through it. That shutter curtain looks suspect to me. No damage on the film suggests pinholes in the shutter curtain.

Did a check, doesn't seem to be a issue but wanted to know ... can the light coming from the MX's Aperture read out prime window be the cause of this?

I would have thought that if there was pinhole damage on the shutter curtain, the odd marks would appear in the same place on every frame. Looking at the two samples, this doesn't seem to be the case.

It could just be a bad film or poor proccessing.

The shutter curtain would be my first suspect, but I am not an expert.
The images of the camera itself show it is quite dirty and suffering from quite a bit of corrosion.
The dirt can be cleaned up and the curtain can be replaced but the corrosion looks nasty.
Looks like the former owner bashed it on a rock before he tossed it in the lake.

Before tackling the job of replacing the curtain I'd suggest you give it a thorough cleaning and replace all the light seals. See if that does the trick.

Honestly, better copies of an MX can be had if you intend to take lots of pictures.
