This is a very tricky question. I have had all of them--the ME, ME Super, and the Super Program. The question is perhaps more subjective than it may appear to be. The ME Super's 1/2000th shutter speed is nice, but then the SP has this and a faster motor drive, the Motor MA. Here is where the problem is...for me, at least. The shutter release on the Motor MA is the worst I have used. One needs to press down wtih significant pressure, and in my view, this can cause camera shake. The release's poor response even caused me to miss a couple of shots. I then got rid of my SP.

I parted with my first pair of ME Supers because I did not like the buttons for the speeds (I prefer a knob). Otherwise, the ME Super is an excellent choice. The Winder II is quite noisy, but it does not seem to induce camera shake, and it has a fairly soft release overall.

Just this weekend, I purchased what I consider the nicest looking Pentax ever--the ME SE. I like the brown leather, and, after pondering this for a while, I have discerned that the ME is more than a point-and-shoot SLR. The orginial ME has a faster sync speed than the SP (1/100 vs. 1/90). At the K-mount Web page, it indicates that the SP actually syncs at 1/90th, not 1/125th. Next, the ME offers exposure compensation, and thus one has the ability to override the in-camera meter by +/- two stops. The ME's meter is quite good, and thus this range of adjustment should be sufficient. The ME, while having a bit less range at the extreme upper end than either the SP or ME Super, has a bit more range at the bottom than the ME Super (eight seconds vs. four seconds). Finally, some believe that the simplicitiy of design and fewer controls may actually allow one to pay more attention to composition, framing, and other such elements.

I note that in addition to the ME SE, I also purchased a black ME Super. I have been wanting one of these, too. I believe it is the second prettiest Pentax :-) I will just have to get use to those goofy buttons.

I use a black ME-F for daily shooting. It has the pro's of the ME Super and adds a focus confirmation (with or without sound). Black ME-F's are very hard to find but chrome one's are less rare (and less expensive).
