Pentax LX Meter

Alright, I have an LX, but the meter is quite a ways off.

Any idea on how to zero the meter for this great camera?

Send it to a qualified service technician or return it to Pentax; cross fingers that it might actually be repairable.

Since Pentax still officially supports the LX, I'd send it to Pentax in Colorado (or Pentax Canada) for a CLA. They will also replace the mirror bumpers which will prevent the "sticky mirror syndrome".

Pentax Colorado definately still does Pentax LX repairs so parts should not be a problem......but it comes at a price. The last LX that I sent to Colorado (about 6 months ago) for a CLA cost me about $250 (and it didn't have any MAJOR faults - just a basic CLA). The LX is a great camera but an expensive one to own and maintain

Ouch, that hurts. My cost two years ago for the same service was $150.
