I'm French, I do not speak English very well, and I do not find translation for "CLA'ed". I have read so about one old camera "it has been CLA'd". I think it means something about repair?
As I understand it: CLA'd =

Cleaned,
Lubricated &
Adjusted

or sometimes just CLA

Clean, Lubricate, Adjust

Salut, J

Ok so I'm not crazy.
Indeed, you are not. I had one MX body that did exactly that. The other MX body, which I'd sent to Eric in February for a CLA, did NOT make that ping. Both work just great, though, as they are after all Pentax MX bodies (the greatest camera ever made).

In French, "Nettoyé, Lubrifié, Ajusté ", but NLA does not exist in the ordinary language, nor any equivalent. We say "complètement révisé" and speak about " révision complète" . It is less precise.
It is now very clear. Thank you!

When sending a camera to Eric Hendrickson one need not specify CLA.
IIRC Eric's invoice will say "standard repair", with which CLA is included.

He'll also do everything else he finds that isn't included in his initial invoice.

When I got my MX back he noted that he replaced the main circuit board because my LEDs were really weak. No extra charge.

I think Eric only does Pentax film cameras. Best take your digital to a Pentax service centre.

Here is Eric's web site if you want to email him:

Pentax themselves can probably take care of your K200D. They fixed up a K10D and a W90 for me. Their service department is in Chandler, AZ. I need to send them a K-5 with a busted screen.
