My newest MX is going his way today. TBH I have another half dozen keeper bodies but I don't want to be a glutton.

And I'll be shipping a K2 in the next week or two, and possibly a leaky ME Super.

He must be up to his eyebrows in cameras.

I donated a very clean, but stuck shutter Super Program to him for parts. Never really cared for the camera anyway so it's going to good use.

Yep he's also doing a Super Program for me as we speak.

A new-to-me accessory for the MX ... works great and this is the MX that I sent to Eric two years ago.

First time for the MX with a winder, and as expected, everything was AOK.

Thanks again, Eric.

PS - The eye cup is off a K-50. Works well for me ... xpost

The MX winder is a catch-22 for me. It really makes the handling a completely (wonderful) animal, but adds so much bulk and noise that I rarely take it out. Aside from the dang battery door, it's awesome. I like the feel/balance better than any modern DSLR K body.

Thanks for your comment. I really like the "balance/feel/handling", too.

With my Dad's big hands (that I inherited), the MX is almost too small for me, but with the winder, it's the best of both worlds. Take it off when I want "small/compact" ... and with winder for "more" and a wonderful "grip". Very happy with this acquisition and should have done it long ago. J

Lovely setup Jean. I bought my winder in 1977, and in those days 2 frames per second was novel. These days not so; my winder sits with a mint MX as a collector item I just love to see and have. For every day use I have four other MXs; I am in love with the things. While I admire the LX I have, for it's amazing meter and finish, I prefer the totally manual MX for that intimate connection. I hardly ever use fast frame shooting anyway.

I'm a fan of Eric also. I'm a noob K1000 owner and he cleaned/refurbed my camera in quick fashion and it's a joy to use.

Glad he's in business.

Does he repair just Pentax film cameras? What about other various K-mount/M42 mount camera's?

Yep.
Eric has CLA'd a Yashica TL Electro X I own (m42 mount),
and cleaned and re-calibrated a Vivitar Series I zoom lens of mine (PK-A mount).

Eric used to run a repair business that worked on all brands, but in retirement he kept parts for Pentax (where he started in cameras).
