A future candidate for Eric's TLC (?), the ME-F ... maybe, dunno ... I need to call him about available parts and an AF lens to test it upon ... I'm afraid that it will be expensive ... Any thoughts, J

Edit PS - Bought the lot for 15€ and all was thought broken ... fixed the winder in about ten minutes, so have "zero" in the ME-F ... and the Super ME will be a parts body only ... too rough and too far gone.

Here's another link to an excellent LX manual scan that isn't overwritten with a copyright. The password is Pentax.

Just about everything manual focus ever published is there, plus quite a lot of the AF film stuff. www.Pentax-Manuals.com

The Site Owner, Kim Coxon, does these for historic preservation of the information and as a gift to the Pentax community.

I had my ME Super fixed at a local shop for $140 (new shutter assay., clean and light seals). Works like new. I love it. (I should add that my camera was in better shape than what your picture shows. I wasn't missing any external parts and it was quite clean to start.)

My MX that was worked over by Eric is still going strong but I don't use it as much as I should. Is there anyone who does Erics level of work on non Pentax bodies? My recently CLAed OM2n, Yashica 12, and Fujica V2 all have issues. CLAed by the same person too.

Mark Hama for the Yashica? I've never done business with him but I found him when I was searching for someone who could CLA my Electro TL X

Email Eric. Either he can do it or he might know someone.

Do you mind telling who did this work (?) ... I have an OM2 that I am thinking of having done (maybe next year) and would like to avoid a problem ... Thanks in advance and you can PM me if you do not want to put it up here ... J

The message you have entered is too short.

PM sent.

Zuiko.com states 8-10 weeks turn around. I recently had to wait 3 months for two cameras to show up. I don't know if I could wait that long. And his prices are pretty high.

Thats the thing. Eric does great work for, lets face it, next to nothing. Sometimes "you get what you pay for" is complete utter sh*t.

Yeah, I had a couple Olympus cameras serviced by John Hermanson (Camtech/zuiko.com) once.
That will definitely be the last time.

Such experiences only makes me appreciate Eric Hendrickson even more!

Chris

The experience with Camtech will take patience. I would suggest asking for an estimate in time along with the cost. I wasn't in a hurry as I simply wanted a good job on my Olympus FT and I can't complain about that or the price.

Sent three cameras and two lenses out on Monday, go the quote before 7am this morning. Glad the LX I bought on the site described as pristine was an accurate description. Of the three bodies, the LX is the least costly and it's cheaper than a CLA on a Spotmatic or K camera.
