Super Program / 3rd party lens question

I just recently purchased a Super Program body from another member here and have been reading a bunch about it. Everything I've read about the "auto" functions seems to indicate that they only work when used with a "Pentax SMC-A lens". I don't have any Pentax SMC-A lenses, but I do have a couple of Sigmas that have an "A" position on the aperture ring. For the purposes of the auto exposure, etc. should these lenses work? I guess I could just try when I get it, but with film, trial and error takes much longer and is a bit more expensive, so I thought someone here might already have an answer.

Thanks,
-Chad

If the Sigmas have the K-A contacts in the mount, they behave like A lenses

By the way, my Program Plus defaults to Av mode when I have a non A lens mounted, so it's easy to use M type lenses as well.
