ME Sticky Shutter: DIY Possible?

I recently got an ME for it's lens and I noticed that is has the "sticky mirror" at speeds slower than about 1/8. Sometimes the mirror is just very late in coming down, or other time's I'll have to switch to Lock or 100x for it to come down. There is almost no foam left, and I don't see any sort of sticky substance, though I do plan on replacing the foam sealing. It's not worth it to me to send it to Eric; I'd rather send in my regularly used ME Super, and I doubt I could sell the ME for a profit after a CLA. If the foam replacement doesn't help, is there any other DIY method I could try such as oiling certain parts, or am I best of just selling it as is?

Thanks,

Kevin

I think that you could probably have a go yourself you have nothing to lose if it was a camera you got free with a lens. The foam was there to dampen the mirror to protect it and help stop shake from the mirror moving up.
The link below will take you to a ME service manual that should help you.
