séamuis!! The video was brilliant! Thanks so much. Thanks also to Sluggo and Wheatfield who pointed me in the right direction, but the video you uploaded was the icing on this cake of knowledge. It took 2 tries to get the bend in the lower contact right, but everything seems to be OK now.

Thanks to all who replied. It was a great help and a great education. Now I get to use my camera. I've already fallen in love with the viewfinder.

glad it helped mate. I know it was a terrible video though, so I wasn’t sure if it would be of any use. I hope it stays working and you get years of enjoyment out of it. I know the MX is a damn fine camera.

also, you should change your signature, since your MX seems to be in good health now.

Awesome thread! I recently picked up an MX and was having issues with the meter working sporadically. I adjusted it yesterday based on the info here and it works great!
