I found an exposed roll of Kodachrome today

I found an exposed roll of Kodachrome today and turned the spindle to hear how it rolled and make sure it wasnt siezed or anything and i heard a little grinding sound that then stopped. It also felt much fuller than a roll of kodak gold 400 with the same number of exposures.

My question is, is it worth it to send it to dwaynes? Or should i just keep the exposed roll laying around as a reminder of the old days? Also, was Kodachrome thicker than other films?

I would get it developed myself. The old film maybe a reminder but what might the slides remind you of? K.

Send it to Dwaynes to process. You will never know what is on the film until it has been processed.

Also with Kodak stoppin producing Kodachrome, Dwaynes will eventually shut down their Kodachrome processing equipment.

Get the film processed while you can.

Also, If it is a very old roll of Kodachrome you may need to get it processed by Film Rescue International in Canada. They successfully processed a roll of Kodachrome II which had set exposed and un-processed in my Dad's camera since the 1960s.

I plan to send it out, i just wonder if its normal for Kodachrome to seem so... full in the canister.
