I am using two Pentax film cameras, the ZX-5N and the ZX-L, both of which I enjoy very much. I have recently purchased some lens off of the internet which I cannot seem to use as they contain no aperature markings on the barrel of the lens and I cannot find out how to set/change the apertures making for proper exposures. Can you please describer to me how I may do this or tell me that I cannot use these lens on my cameras?

I think the lenses will only work in Program on the ZX-5N. I think the ZX-L can use Program, Tv, Av, and Auto Scene modes.
On the ZX-L, you would set the mode dial to Av then use the lever by the shutter release to set aperture. I used to have a ZX-10 and I believe they work the same way.

I think you have bought lenses made for later digital cameras.
Well, now you have an excuse to buy a digital Pentax !!
