Homemade K2 focus screen

Anybody here in PF land make their own K2 split-image focus screen?
By cutting down some other donor screen, say from a ME-Super, or Nikon K3 screen?

So far my quest for an existing K2 split-image focus screen has turned up nil.

I just recently discovered I can buy 'cut to size' Nikon K3 screens for my K7. One is ordered and in transit right now. This bit of recently acquired info got me to thinking that maybe a donor screen can be sized for use in my K2.

Anybody BTDT?

Doesn't the K2 use the same screen as a K1000? If so, the K1000 SE has a slit image screen from the factory. Just pick up a donor from KEH's as-is section.

When I asked the expert in Tennesse this question, I was told the K2 & K1000 screens are not the same size. That was too bad, because there were several cheap K1000-SEs on the market. I could have had a split for my K2[had they fit], and spare parts for my K1000-SE.
