People donate to universities all the time. Donating a used film camera will not provide anyone a free education but it does help keep a film based photography program up and running. The less photography classes out there, the more I-phone photo's become the norm. Help fight the good fight.
Plus, they provided a very nice donation letter to use for income tax purposes. They base their estimated values on KEH prices, not e-bay prices.

Thanks for the nice words! I should note, however, that we no longer do the value calculation. A couple people felt that the values we gave were unfairly low, so now we leave it up to the donators to asses the value. I have spoken with a few tax people, and they all say this is perfectly normal.
