Pentax 55 1.8 case?

I've bought an ES 11 with this lens.....Did Pentax ever make a specific case for this lens, & if they did, does anybody know where there is one?.....It should have Takumar 55 1.8 emblazoned on the case lid.

I do have that case, but it was never sold with the lens alone (the 55/1.8 could only be bought on a new camera). So it had to be ordered separately.

Indeed. Taht's why the 50/1.4 and 55/1.8 cases are very difficult to find. I sometimes see the 50/1.4, but the 55/1.8 I saw only few times, and I paid around 25€ for mine (and got a second one later, so I have two of them). A real pain to find if you want the exact color (green or red, depending on the lens)

BTW, the 55/1.8 could be bought separately, you have some prices on my site : Index et prix des Takumar - Takumar - The eyes of the Spotmatic
The cases were sold for CAN$ 2.95 in 1967.

you mean you take the lens off the camera? To put in a case? Why EVER would you take a 55/1.8 off a camera? <g>

Presumably in order to use the 200mm Auto-Takumar. Or perhaps the 55mm 1.4 Rikenon. All very fine lenses.
