Here's a link to the same handmade custom one for the MX.Says it ships from the US. https://www.etsy.com/listing/190826289/for-pentax-mx-leather-cameras-case
That appears to be the same half case I bought on eBay a few years ago. It is very nice and fits the MX well.

Those fancy half cases are nice but a little pricey for the average "frugal" Pentax Forums film user.
$60+ is often more than bottom feeders here are willing to spend on a working camera body.

I messaged eBay seller douglaser, who said Pentax MX case is in stock.
He can simply substitute MX case for another currently listed (OM-1 etc).

So you have multiple options...

Brilliant. The last remnants of pleather are peeling away from the original case.

Just scrape the old flaking coating off with the back of a knife. The original case is as solid as you wish. This is my first example, the second came out much more evenly.

Ja... I've heard that before here when I asked about it a couple years ago. Considered it, but i'd just rather have a case that is more than just grey foam.

I'm sure there's a Zing or OP/TECH neoprene cover that will fit an MX with lens.
These are fine for protection but not especially convenient while shooting;
they are one piece and must be completely removed to operate camera.

Actually it is very hard and solid, more so than when new. Looks fine in reality, a suede appearance. Personal taste I know, but here is the second one I did.

The MX is every bit the jewel that an old leica is... just not as valuable :-) Worth a CLA and good case if you are going to keep it. I have shuffled through 4-5 film bodies to end up where I am at, and plan on settling in.
