SV, with working clip-on meter
Silver SPII
Black SPII (2 of)
Japanese K1000 (my first camera, owned for 29 years)
Silver MX
Black MX
Silver KX

With the exception of the black SPII's they're all in mint or near mint condition. I prefer the silver finishes for some reason. I didn't think I would do, until I'd had the black bodies for a while. The black MX is nice, but the silver one is lovely.

I passed on a near-mint black KX on eBay for $60 recently, so I must really mean it!

If I could keep only one it'd be the K1000 (I've owned it since I was 11). If I could keep only two, I'd probably choose the SV as well.

My list is humble, yet effective. I started, as so many others have, with the K1000. I bought only one of these -- the others were freebies!

K1000 (two of them - the winding mechanism on my first broke)
Ricoh KR-5 Super II

I have to say, I think you're doing it right. In my experience, once you get an explosion of bodies, it doesn't help your photography at all!

An update for me. Not including my "box o' Brownies" and a Fuji Instax Wide 210, I have whittled my way down to A P3n and a ZX-l with a ZX-M focus screen and battery grip. I hate the fake aluminum color, and the chrome logo, and I wish the viewfinder was much larger, yet the ZX-l is my favorite Pentax ever!

Two ZX-5s bought new in the mid-90s. Three K1000s all bought this year.
