Photos-by-Chas, I went through a collecting phase about ten years ago, and I think I have copies of most Pentax models up the MX/ME, and the majority of them operating. I have the original trio of the AP, S and K with their original standard lenses and while the AP and K have been CLA’d and work fine (the K in the picture has a film in it) the S, the rarest of them all is sadly a brick as the shutter mechanism is shot and can’t be repaired. All three are really tactile though; there’s something special about the feeling of these vintage machines.

Hi new forum member here. My interest in film cameras has been reignited in recent years. It all started when I moved close to an old school used camera shop. I already had a Nikon F3 and Canon F1 New so I thought it would be rude not to try the Pentax LX. My Pentax collection has grown somewhat, the full list is as follows, with some thoughts about each camera.

- LX, latest model, serviced by Harrow technical. Awesome.
- MX, serviced by Harrow. Awesome viewfinder, a bit disappointed with the poor legibility of the meter LEDS.
- KX black. Getting serviced now. Perfect size and much better metering display than the MX. Beautifully damped shutter. I think this might be a favourite.
- Spotmatic SP. Getting serviced now. Beautifully smooth and definitely has a higher precision feel than the later cameras.
- MV, cheap Ebay purchase. Had fond memories of this camera when I used one at high school. Needs the seals replaced.
-P30T, another Ebay bargain, for times when I don’t feel like taking a valuable camera. Nice viewfinder and has most of the features needed. Plastic film door avoids the problem of gooey foam seals. Awful cheap mirror/shutter sound, but otherwise a fun camera.

Welcome to the forum and nice collection! The KX has always been my favorite Pentax camera, owned one since the mid 70's.

What Film Bodies Do We All Have

Picked up a ME Super w/winder with a couple of Tokina zooms and a Vivitar 2X converter on eBay. Camera + winder working fine, lenses not so good, both have haze.
$45, so not complaining.

After an abortive attempt to buy a Z-1P (postal service swallowed it, no idea what happened), just picked up a SF1n and a FA 50mm 1.4 and am enjoying it greatly. First SLR I used as a kid was a ME super, I think. Belonged to my dad's work.

I am sure that some place in the mix there is already a post on what camera bodies we all have. If there is please link me up. Till then I figured i would like to see how many of us go over the top or just plain like to collect and shoot our film bodies.
H2, S1a, SV

Various spotmatic's. SL,II, IIa, sp500, sp1000 ((most are not working but i do have in some cases several of each. My IIa was rebuilt as well as my SL))

K1000, KX (black and silver), KM, K2(black and silver), K2 dmd, ((all sent to Eric H and rebuilt.))

MX (2 of them with one winder mx), ME, ME Super(3 of them all either as new or rebuilt), MG, Mv (( both mx and all 3 me supers also rebuilt by Eric H))

Super Program (with 3.5 Motor Drive)

SF1-n, SF10

PZ1-P

MZ-10

Ist (film camera w/ Grip)

I also own an ist-d, K100d super, K20, Sold my K7 for funds to get the K5 in the next month i hope.
I guess i have the "bug".... I do make a point to shoot ALL of them time to time. I have to justify owning all of them for use not just to collect Though to each his own. I can not hate anyone who wants to collect such mini works of art.

On top of those i own a Zeiss Contaflex set with the 35mm,85mm,110mm,50mm f2.8 and the 1:1 50mm macro.
Minolta set with XG-m i think it is and 2 x-700 with power grip 2, motor drive (3.5), Muli function back, 360px flash with Color filter and ND set. (The Rokkor Files - X-Series Accessories) Pretty much this.
Olympus OM1, OM2n, Bellows Macro set up with 50mm,80mm,135mm T8 T10 and T28 macro flashes..... Fun Fun. I use all these on my Pentax gear fyi.

I would love to hear what people are using, collecting and even looking to pick up!
Current inventory:
ME Super
Z-50
MZ-S
K-70

The camera shop called today to tell me the K-1000 was ready for pickup. Anxious to see it and run a roll of film. Gosh it's been years.

With that lot you have a great start on a museum of film cameras.

Two years ago I had about 9 bodies: KM, a few Super program and program plus, a few ZX series, PZ-1p... now I'm down to a Super Program and a Konica rangefinder, somehow not shooting film that often.
