Nah, back then, Canon was one of the 'poor cousins,' too: really you had to look to Nikon and parts upscale for snobbery. (Actually, a lot of people here who went Pentaxian for digital were Canon FD holdouts all along. I'm kind of Pentaxian from way back, but that's cause I used the 6x7 for medium format.
