Good deal on Kodak Ultramax 400?

Was at the local BJ's (Warrington, PA) getting kitty litter and noticed a pile of Ultramax 400 on the clearance shelf. A 6-pack of 24 exp. rolls for $8 seemed like a good price. It's probably not the freshest, so I'll try to use it up this Fall in my Super Program. I've been looking for an excuse to shoot more film, I just need to find a more affordable means of getting it processed. In the meantime, though, I have a few questions:

1. Is this a good price? (I think it is given Amazon's got 4-packs for $15) If it's a really good deal, I might run back and grab a few more (I only bought one box).
2. Where would the expiration/"best by" date be found? There doesn't seem to be one on the box, but would it be on the individual rolls?
3. What would be the best way to store/preserve this in the event I don't shoot all 6 rolls in the next few months.
4. Anything special I should know to have it processed/developed?

I don't know if this was just our store clearing out some old stock or if they're dropping it from their regular inventory. If the latter, and you're in range of a BJ's, you might want to check their bargain bin.

On the individual box.

As far as the expiration date goes I think it printed on the back or bottom in a format like this, 09.30.2012. It's been a long time since I bought consumer Kodak film so I may be off. Just in case go over every side carefully, the expiration date is easy to miss (it's printed kinda small).

That's a good price for a good film.
