Pentax ZX-5

Here is my first roll with the ZX-5...I used Kodak Tri-X 400.
I like the look of this film

Hey, that's excellent! I just got the same camera and shot the same film. Really. [Insert a Dave Barry "I'm not making this up" here!]

The roll was sent off this evening and I don't anticipate the photos for a week or so. I'm not really expecting much good from it. My shots were more experimental: a few program shots, some aperture priority, some shutter, different exposure compensations, etc. But, if anything decent shows up on the prints I will gladly share!

I should add that I really enjoyed using the ZX-5. It's teamed with an F 35-70 and they are a nice duo.

Same here...I used mostly aperture priority. But I also used my sekonic analog meter just for practice as well. The flower shots were with my 50/1.7 and the beach shots were with my vivitar 19mm.

It is a very nice camera. I picked up one last fall. I prefer my PZ-1p though because it reminds me of my K10d. Regardless, the ZX-5 has a lot going for it.

Here is mine. The only difference is that 5N has a DOF pre-view button. It's a versatile and durable camera. Mine has a mirror motor with metal gear. I use two old kit lenses on this camera: F35-70 and 70-210mm. I have a picture taken with this camera posted in the thread, "Cool lets see those film shots", page 392, #5876.https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/attachments/pentax-film-slr-discussion/97...ots-winnie.jpg

I have one too, although it's not fully functional anymore. The AF drive in the body died a couple of years back, and I accidentally broke a bit of the mounting flange testing a lens. So now I simply use it as a wrench (for lack of a better term) for putting PK adapters on my M42 lenses.

Here are my MZ-5 pictures over on Flickr:

Finally got my pictures from the first roll with the ZX-5. They're posted in this week's POTW thread. Take a look if you like.
