Hiking with a 6x7 : that's what i call motivation !

Phil : the use of orange filter is what give you grey sky, right ?

My first home developped roll TriX400 @1600, Super A and DA*55

yeah, i had some water drops on the film when it dried

Most today's FF DSLRs are just as big as a Pentax 6x7 outfitted with a waist level finder. Their body is not as thick as a 6x7 but that is little consolation when it comes to hiking it around. And people take FF DSLRs everywhere.

Shake your film well before hanging it up. You can even use a small fan to blow on the hanging film that will usually take care of water drops.

Correct and a red filter will make the sky even darker.

Nice job with your first developed roll!

I do need to get the film bodies out, again. I'll be setting up a darkroom in some warehouse space as well.

Are you using demineralised water for the final rinse? I find that it helps a lot

i thought i had some left, but in fact it wasn't the case so i used running water, and here water is very (dunno the right word) calcareous /chalky ? it left some trace that disapear whant i "caress" it with my lab gloves.

at the end of the week, i'll do some extensive processing with some Tmax and TriX all pushed.
