Welcome to the forum Pete. Really great shots. My favourite is the Grandma/hat Tri-x shot. Would that have been the old version of Tri-X (pre 2007)?

Hey Vendee, some really nice haloing in this pic and the roofline of the stone cottage. How are you acheiving that? is that done after the fact digitally or part of the print?

I never really noticed. Its not something I've done deliberately. Perhaps its in the scanning. To be honest, I only scan my negs as a means to deciding which shots to wet print in my darkroom....... its better and cheaper than making contact prints of the negs. I don't really care how the scan looks. Perhaps I should spend some time learning to get the best out of the scanning software.

Here are a few shots taken on FP4+ in the spring, at the Madrid tennis open. I was using my MZ-5N for the first time, and the three of shots here were taken with the DA 55-300. The lens does vignette but it's certainly useable.

Yashica 12. Tri-X in DD-X.

Unspectacular photos but I don't think I have more fun shooting with any other camera.

Pentax MX, SMC Pentax 1:3.5 18mm using built-in Skylight filter, Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros. Epson V700 scan, digital dodge & burn.

This is the first exposure from the first roll of film I've shot in years (and the first roll of B&W I've shot in ages). I've had the MX for nearly a year but it took me this long to get up the courage to actually use it. Sounds silly, but I was simultaneously eager to shoot some film and afraid of discovering that I should just stick to digital. But I thoroughly enjoyed the slower process and I'm looking forward to my next outing.

Nice shot and the k18/3.5 is a great lens!

Thanks Phil. I'm very impressed by the 18/3.5. Indeed, acquiring the lens was the final impetus to get me to put some film in the MX -- I wanted to see the lens on its native format. Here are two more of the same subject with the same lens, both shots with the orange filter (and, again,, digital dodge & burn):

(Hmm, need to fix the masking on this one.)
