Sorry to hear the sad news, Amber must have been a great joy to your family.

I was finishing off a roll of Neopan 400 in my Pentax MX. Developed in Xtol. I have to say, I'm really liking this film and developer combination.
It's a pity Neopan 400 is being discontinued...

My condolences as well.
My puppy (she's 7 but still my puppy) is like a child to me, I can't imagine loosing her.

Nice shots there. Yes it is a shame about Neopan 400. I've got 9 rolls of it left in the fridge and a few of them will be used in Paris at Christmas. The one thing I found out only the other day on another forum was that Neopan 400 is quite prone to reticulation. I've only suffered from reticulation once while developing my own film and a quick check of the negs confirmed that it was indeed Neopan 400 that I was using.

When I'm using neopan 400 or acros I make sure the temps for the developer / fixer etc are within a degree of each other.

The emulsion on them is fairly soft. For this reason fuji fixers have hardener included.

Going through some old shots, I came across this taken with flash bulb on a Retinette in 1961.

Portraits at my Club

I did a 'Portrait Lighting' demonstration ay Brentwood Photo-Club and developed and printed the results the same evening. I used my 1960's Asahi Pentax Spotmatic with a 135mm f4 Carl Zeiss Jena lens I got at Club auction for £ 1-00 and some outdated Ilford Delta 100 film I processed in Crawley Formula FX37 -- I used a Durst M305 enlarger, printed on some Ilford Multigrade IV paper in home-made print developer and gave the sitters some 10cx8" prints at end of the meeting -- lighting was by my old 1950's -- 1960's BRAUN HOBBY uinits with three flashes.

The fastest speed on this shutter is 1/250, but I don't remember if that was what I used back then.

I wondered what that lab was like, I went past it last year when we were staying in the area. It was closed (after hours) and would love to have gone in to take a look around.

Phil.
They're great folks. A little pricey but one of the only local options for 120 and non-C-41. They can work with you on all kinds of custom stuff as well.
