Thanks. Those shots were hand-held with a matte screen, that’s the last time I’ll try that! Shifting is best done on a tripod with a grid screen. The lens could also be wider, 55mm would be better.

Phil,
It that the School of Social Work? My happily-departed former (ex) spouse spent many hours in that building during our time at UBC.

The first building is the Museum of Anthropology and the second the Cecil Green house, which is near the museum. The School of SW is just up the street on the West Mall.

Good to see that the School of SW has moved onto the campus proper. We were there in the early 1980's and the School of SW was located on the bluff edge in a converted mansion similar to the Cecil Green House on land just up the road from the museum. I believe it was the Graham House which is now part of Green College.

Thanks, it is a nice place and great for photography. What lens have you got on your FED?

Yeah, its always hard to get a reservation there. Southwold is pretty much unspoiled and I doubt its changed since you visited.

Cover your ears...... I'm still not in love with mine

I've had it for 3 years and it doesn't get used much. I put this roll through it to make sure it was OK before putting it on ebay. Unfortunately, I've still got a slight light leak problem. You may notice on the second shot, top of shot about 2/3 along there is a dark vertical band. Its a slight leak on the upper metal part of the first curtain. As the shutter cocks, this slight leak travels down the frame. I've attempted a repair using RTV sealant and its much better but its not quite perfect. I'm going to try again this week.

I really love the Jupiter 8 lens but I find the Kiev slow to use with hand metering and rangefinder focusing. Not ideal for street photography but people like HCB seemed to manage just fine with similar equipment 60 years ago. I'll probably keep it for now as I doubt I'll get much for it if I sell it. Its a nice looking camera and a great conversation piece.
