Nah, I just toned it that way in this case...
I routinely apply a "selenium tone" in PP to all my B&W film and digital conversions. I used selenium on my traditional enlargements and like the look.

I've shot Kentmere 400 and like it quite a bit, it scans well and has good tone. This one's 400 in Rodinal 1+50 semi-stand; Fed-3 and Canon RF 50/1.8

Thanks, Nesster. Fellow said he thought it was Agfa film stock, reloaded in the UK for Harman (Ilford). Cute kitty BTW!

I am not quite happy with the results I am getting with the Rolfix. Can someone comment perhaps on whether this is a focus or glass issue?
Or am i just being silly with my expectations?

6x9 as scanned:

and the 100% crop:

Thanks!

It's hard to tell here, but the roof of the building on the lower right looks like it might be significantly sharper than the tree line on the far hill. Could this be a focusing issue?

After I posted, I recall that this was a handheld shot. It is also possible that I was trying to use a hyperfocal focus, rather than an infinity focus. I will do some more testing on this end, and see if I need to adjust the focus, or just be happy with it.
Thanks!

Chances are that a) the lens is set a little short of infinity and b) the lens and film planes aren't exactly parallel (mechanically, or the film ain't flat) ... Both are common enough in old folders; that's one reason why we like3 f/16 and smaller.

Thanks, I am going to check the focus with a ground glass later today.
This is taken with my Voigtlander AVUS 6x9 Rollex:

I am still fighting a light leak in the Rollex somewhere. I also discovered why the film winds backwards, and am happy that mine winds both ways, because the exploding film roll is no fun in a darkroom, LOL

What a cutie! The ability to catch expression/movement is something photography can still astonish.

After hours on end doing photoshopping of glamour images i am surprised to say that getting these back from development made me feel so good. There is magic in film photography - i just need to figure out what that is , and move it to digital . Jk. Excuse the stretched soft pixels - thats what happens when one scans a 4x6 low res image that these developers gives you. >_<

As pentaxpete says, no need to wait for a darkroom. I do mine at the dining room table and kitchen sink! Of course that is just developing and not printing. After developing I scan my negatives.
Those were two separate thoughts. I would like to have a darkroom BUT I have been thinking about at least developing my own film. My wife actually prefers darkroom work to photography so we just need a space and equipment. Maybe the next house...
