No surprise there is some flare with a fisheye, Phil.

I was going to head down to the Oregon Country Fair this year, but forgot to mark the date on my calendar. Was it fun?

I only went one day. And it was crowed as hell. I had fun taking pictures ( got some NSFW kind ) but other than that it was okay, I guess.

I was wondering about the crowds (Hell is pretty crowded by all accounts) and was aware of the NSFW potential. I suspect that the value of the experience is at least partially dependent on the amount of THC in the system. Perhaps next year I will go down with one or more friends.

This county fair thing is starting to interest me. Apparently we do it all wrong here in Chesapeake Bay country.

"Country Fair", not "county fair"

Back in the old days, it used to be called the "Oregon Renaissance Faire". It is sort of a gathering of aging hippies and younger wannabe hippies. In other words, your average non-farmer/rancher, non-techie, non-logger Oregonians. There is a Web site:

Oregon Country Fair 2014

...and a Wikipedia article:

Oregon Country Fair - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Imagine a two day Grateful Dead concert and you would have a good idea of the event...or simply do a Google image search for "Oregon Country Fair". Turn off safe search to get the full flavor of the event

Leave it to me to comment based on a mis-read! Thanks for setting me straight Steve - and the links. Looks like a bunch of folks spending money to have a good time with profits going to charitable causes - and doing it for 46 years. That's impressive.

Ok, to get us back on track...

A while back I finally decided to try b&w again - first roll since 1979. When I mentioned this in an earlier post, Phil suggested I use an orange filter. Of course, I didn't have one. But I did have a red filter from a used collection I bought. So, I shot almost the entire roll with that red filter. I found it a bit challenging to clearly see the subject, so focus suffered, even more so with my tri-focal vision. Anyway, I only had a few near-keepers. Here is one - goats of course.

K-2, M50:1.4, T-Max 100, red filter, Lab processed, home scanned

Thanks Camaraniac. It is hardly possible to take a bad tug-boat picture.
