No, it's a good reminder of the poor DR and sterile look of digital when converted to grayscale.

Thanks, I shot that for a class assignment in 1983. Using a Pentax ME Super 1.4 50mm lens and Kodak film, don’t remember the film speed or f/. Sometimes the class received free film that was donated by local businesses. After a few photography lessons I landed a job at a local newspaper. A fantastic job, I was shooting events day and night.

Here's a shot from the first roll of black and white film that I ever developed. It was a bit nerve racking at first but I'm glad the shots turned out fine and I can wait to do more. Yashica-D /w Yashikor, Ilford HP5+ and 1:50 Rodinal:
