While I was on the trip to NYC a couple weeks ago where I took these pics:, I leaned out my balcony one night and snapped this:

K1000, A 50mm 1.7, Delta 3200 (@1600)

...and the next morning I took this one (same setup):

All tugboat shots are good shots. There must be many opportunities Seattle too.
Lots, which is one reason your picture caught my eye. I work near the Port of Tacoma and see them bringing in freighters all the time.

A darling Hydrant, buried in an abandoned campground.

Shoulda used a yellow filter. Paper negatives are so finicky about contrast and exposure. 1 sec @f:16
I did cut up a couple sheets of 4x5 ISO 100 b&w and got 4 sheets of 6.5x9 actual film for my next trick.

This was using a yellow filter, and I managed to get the clouds exposed nicely, but Paper has very low dynamic range.

This is my first time using film in over 20 years, and my very first time using film with a nice SLR

Sorry if I post too many. I'm quite happy with how they turned out, considering I was half expecting a roll of unusable junk.

All of them were taken on a Pentax ZX-L with either the 31mm limited or 77mm limited lens, using Ilford Delta 400, processed and scanned by The Darkroom.

No filters, not even UV or skylight (I picked up a yellow and a green filter a couple days ago, though, for the next roll of BW), and no post-processing aside from Lightroom renaming the files and stuffing in some metadata.

There's some kind of joke in this somewhere, but I've forgotten what it was -- cutting a cadbury egg in half with a cheese slicer.

My wife was not amused that I was taking a photo when she was recovering from nearly breaking her leg

Nice! Looks cozy in there. It resembles my office, but his certainly has more charm.

Finished up a roll of Ilford Delta 3200 Shot with my Super Program and SMC Pentax 55mm F1.8. I really like the looks of delta 3200 developed in DD-X.

I've made some changes to my scanning methods of B&W 135 format film. I've played with the settings to get better contrast in order to improve the jpegs, then I'm using them instead of the RAWs, usually with a simple crop and maybe further contrast adjustments in post. This is much easier than playing with the RAW files (which are negatives rather than positives) and I can't see any loss of quality. Bear in mind I'm getting the exposure pretty much exactly where I want it in the DSLR "scanning" so no need to alter that - I don't think the jpegs would stand up to it. I've also left a bit of the edge of the frame in as a border for these ones.

Here are a few from Madrid. Shot in my MX on Ilford Pan 100.
