I don't know if I've seen the official Pentacon hoods. Are they plastic funnel-shaped things, like the Soviet hoods?

A shutter to "startle the birds from the trees", as someone once described it to me. They went to metal shutters even in their basic lines fairly early compared to other manufacturers, as I recall.
(Does the MTL have the really nice string-based light seals? Probably the best design decision Pentacon made was to use them in some of their cameras; those things never seem to deteriorate.)

A bunch of B&W film shots. I may have posted some of these in other threads before, so apologies if you've seen them before.
First, Ilford XP2 Super. I don't mind this film, and I find it scans up nicely. I never did get to try the Kodak or Fuji C-41 B&W films though.
Pentax 6x7 + S-M-C Tak/6x7 105/2.4. (This shot is fairly heavily cropped, as I didn't want to disturb them.)
Pentax 6x7 + S-M-C Tak/6x7 90mm f2.8.
Some other films:
6x7 + S-M-C Tak/6x7 200/4. Rollei RPX 400. (I had used this version of the film before, and recalled it being more contrasty.)
6x7 + S-M-C Tak/6x7 105/2.4. Shaghai GP3:
