This was a funny scene. He posed and asked me to take his picture..So I took it and he was shocked I took it. He was even more shocked when he asked to see it and there was no LCD on my ME SUPER...He had never seen a film cam before...We had a laugh and I was on my way...
Classic shot, but the story behind makes it priceless (mastercard for the ME super )

This is pretty dang good. Excellent tones and comp. Van you share details on shooting the negative with a DSLR?

I'd be interested in this, also. Was this taken at one of the San Antonio missions?
Thanks jgredline and Paul! Yes, the shot was from a mission in San Antonio.

I am pretty satisfied with the results, although a scanner would be better. I have tried a couple of different processes and this one has produced the best results so far (it's also fast - I "scanned" 2 rolls of 120 film in less than 5 minutes).
Here's how I used my camera to get a digital file:
I cut a neg holder out of heavy mat board to help flaten the neg; placed the negative on a light box (anything that would provide back-light would work) and my camera on a tripod and shot! After downloading to my computer, I opened the file and choose "convert colors" in order to change it from a negative to a positive. (I use a MF lens as it is my closest focusing - a marco lens might work even better)
Here's a couple of shots of the process:

Thanks, Bogie - I'm impressed with the results you're getting from that setup. I have a cheapy slide/negative scanner (HP 4850), and haven't really tested it yet. Your method looks like it could be better & faster

The results look pretty good. There is more DR on the negative then that camera can capture. Maybe try exposure blending to see if you can get more?

It still amazes me how much bigger MF slides are compared to 35mm...
And then there is 4x5, and 8x10

I was goofing around and had my DA 35 f/2.4 "plastic fantastic" on a Pentax ZX-7. The set up is small, light and fun!

Shot on Fomapan 100 and stand developed in Rodinal 1+100 for an hour.

i made some picture on film with this plastic fantastic, but i didn't notice te bokeh was "whirling" like this.

Very nice picture btw. i really like the tone -dark at bottom, grey and white on middle and top- and of course, the bokeh.

This lens is really a must have for cheap SLR set up

I went shooting in MacArthur Park / Westlake district. It is one of the highest crime infested areas in L.A. My wife hates me going out there as Cameras are the enemy and few if any are ever seen.
As luck would have it, I had just put down my ME SUPER with a Tokina 28mm lens on a bench while I sat down to rest and some guy that ran like a Gazel came by and snatched it up. It was less than 5 seconds and it was gone just like that.. I had already shot two rolls of Ilford XP-2 and was on my third. Anyway, it is a very difficult place to shoot at but ended up with a few decent pictures.. Thanks for looking.

Yeah, I remember you telling that story in another thread back then. I bet the guy thought he scored an expensive digital camera, ha! On the used hot market, it probably wasn't worth the run he had to do to get away.

Like Tuco, I remember when the ME Super was liberated. What a shame. You almost want to wear a t-shirt that says "camera is worth nothing...aim for wallet"!

I've only shot about 5 rolls of film in my life- only 3 of which I've developed... so no hate, please.

Contrast was bumped up a bit digitally.
Shot with ME Super, Takumar 55mm f/1.8, and Ilford 400 B&W.

I also shot through a roll of B&W Kodak 400 with a Canon T70 and Vivitar Series 1 105mm f/2.5 just the other day, but didn't realize that it requires C41 process until I finished off the roll, I'll have to see if I can get it developed this weekend... I'm anxious to see the results from the Vivitar!

Good stuff, like the parallel/vertical lines in the images.

Recently acquired a LX, Macbook Air, and Epson V600. Hope to be able to contribute to this community now.
Following were some shots from the first two rolls I shot through the LX.
