Ah, PanF - so smooth. The second image is a 100% crop.

A cross post from yesterday's Daily Challenge...

Caffenol Setup taken with Sony NEX6 and Pentax-M 35/2 by Jason Doss, on Flickr

I'm not too thrilled with wide open performance of this lens, which is sad since it has been one of my favorite focal lengths.

I developed another short roll today, and thought I'd share my chemical setup. Here's one of the results....

Geometric taken with Pentax Super Program and Pentax-M 100/2.8 on Kentmere 400 developed in Caffenol-CH for 15 mins by Jason Doss, on Flickr

Shot a roll of Kentmere 100 at ISO 50, developed it in D76 1+1. I like it at 50!

3 minute exposure.

I find the 35/2 quite good wide open under certain circumstances but significantly better at f/2.8. Of course, I've used it more on digital than on film.

This is the second 4x5 image that I've made. Film was developed by Blue Moon Camera.

Pacemaker Speed Graphic 4x5
Kodak Ektar 127/4.7

Jonathan, how does my wide open image above compare with results you get with yours? I'm thinking of sending this lens in for CLA... maybe that'll help.

Probably will post more as I go through this roll. But I'll start with this one for now:

GAF L-17 [a rebadged Chinon M-1].
Auto-Chinon 55mm f1.7. [edit: Looking again, this might actually be the Helios-44M-4. I should have kept better notes for this roll.]
Fuji Neopan 400 pushed to 1600.

From a test roll on my new Zeiss Ikonta 532/A 645, I am really liking this camera. Novar lens, 75mm f:3.5

I'd say broadly similar. Below are links to two shots with this lens which I know were taken wide open. I have used the lens more and I like it a lot, but I don't usually remember the aperture used.

I don't think a CLA will make your lens sharper.

From 6 years ago, expired Fomapan 400, my black lizard skin Spotmatic, Auto-Takumar 55/1.8 for the less coated lens look.

I spent a little time in the driveway today. First shot illustrates what you can do with camera movements—see how the left side of the headlight is in focus, and so is the right side of the window on the house?

To get that the camera looked like this:

Chamonix 045N-2, Rodenstock Apo-Sironar N 210mm/f5.6, FP4+ @200, Diafine, X1 scans.
