First time at developing !!

My very first attempt at developing - easier than I thought and really enjoyed it !!

HP5+ shot with a MX & M50 f1.7, developed with Ilfosol 3 @ 1+9, also used Ilford's Stop bath & Rapid Fixer. Scanned with a Epson V800.

Looks like your hooked, you have done a great job.

Been having a play with a bulk loader and some Kodak Eastman Double X (5222), developed in Ilfosol 3 (1+14) as its what I have and as there is not any official dev times for this I had to experiment a bit, I am pleased with todays outcome at 12mins, shot at iso 400.

Excellent work! My question is to anyone who knows... is the Epson V800 significantly better than the V550? I bought a refurb V550 for like $100 a year ago (maybe) and it's done well enough, but I always wonder if the grass is greener...

The V800 is my first scanner, so I can't compare it to others, but it seems to work very well. Don't care much for the Silverfast software that came with it though, Epson Scan software is easy to work with and produces good scans.

Congratulations! As you said, the process is not hard and for many of us also very rewarding. Nice work.

It is supposed to be much greener. The V700 and higher models have a more sophisticated optical path.

Two from 4x5 Graflex Speed graphic, using paper negative and D76 soup, I think I found the magical grail for paper negs.
No filters, no pre-flash.

This 1949 Retinette with a three element f4.5 Reomar lens, is awkward to use because one must remember 5 things after opening it. 1) Wind the film, 2) cock the shutter, 3) set the focus, 4) get a light meter reading and set the aperture and 5) then the speed. (If you half press the shutter and let it go, the double exposure lock prevention will lock the button until film is advanced.)

First time shooting Delta 400. I'm loving the skin tones it produces. It also yields sharper and higher resolution images than HP5+. Shot on my 1958 K with Auto-Takumar 55mm f2. Developed in D-76.

Adventures with Caffenol taken with Super Program and Pentax-M 28/3.5 on Kentmere 400 and developed in caffenol-CH by Jason Doss, on Flickr

I don't think the meters are very accurate in my Super Programs, therefore a CLA is in their future.
