I second the praise for the cactus.. very appealing.

A lab processed batch of HP5+ (I think he may have used XTol). Shot at 800 ISO. The morning was quite contrasty, and I'm very pleased with the details that came through.... scanned with V500 photo to be very flat, then "fluffed up" in LR.

Neat photo, is that an old barn or factory?

This has a confusing scale. It took me a couple of minutes to spot the man under the "tables", and realize they are pavilions and the trees are really big. Nice! I also quite like the softness of this image.

Yes...the passenger bridge over the tracks has been dismantled though.

I waver back and forth on Shanghai GP3: sometimes I get great results from the film, and sometimes I go through most of the roll without finding anything I like. (I've never been hit by the "backing paper numbers bleeding off onto the film itself" problem, thankfully.)

Of course, all that's a bit of a moot point now as it's getting close to impossible to find at decent prices. Still about 4-5 rolls in the fridge, but I'll definitely need to choose another cheap 120 B&W soon.

My local shop got in some 35mm Kodak BW400CN that someone had had stored in the back of a freezer. I bought a few rolls and rattled through them. Aside from a few frames I'm not terribly happy with the results, though that just may be my unfamiliarity with what situations the film works best in.

Canon AE-1.
Canon (new) FD 70-210mm f4.
Kodak BW400CN (expired 2008).

And these two are from the city's annual Good Friday procession:

Canon AE-1.
Canon (new) FD 70-210mm f4.
Fuji Neopan 400.

And lastly, a pair of shots on Pan F Plus. Nice and contrasty, but I had far more cases of blown out skies than normal. (Though this may have something to do with my FTb's meter.)

Canon FTb.
Canon FD 50mm f1.8 S.C.
Ilford Pan F Plus.

Yesterday I finally scanned the Tri-X that I shot in my MX at 1600. For the first time in ages I scanned using the V500 rather than with my K3, as I wanted to try to preserve the natural tones of the film, which DSLR-scanning destroys.

I'm quite happy with the results given the push and that it was developed in Ilfosol 3 which is not known for it's great results when pushing a couple of stops. I may DSLR-scan some later in order to compare, I think it will be interesting.

These shots were of an outdoor gig at the summer parties in the village where my brother and sister-in-law live near Segovia. I love the classic grainy B&W rock-gig look. All taken with the K 50/1.4 at f/2 or f/2.4.
