That's an old one, but one of my personal all time favs. I just sent off 8 rolls from my new to me Leica M6 to get processed to the pro shop.
I can't wait to see what I get that is 6 weeks worth of shooting.

I still can't believe that you walk the mean streets with a M6 around your neck.

BTW...how do you like the rangefinder? When you get bored with the Leica, get a FED

Really like the range finder. Actually, I really like the complete feel of the system. But man the lenses are expensive !
So for now, I have only one

Learn a little Russian and buy a LTM adapter! There are collimation issues with most FSU LTM lenses, but they are not quite as critical on the wider side of things. A clean Jupiter-12 35/2.8 is a fraction the cost of the Leitz product and still much cheaper than any of the other options. I assume you already have a nice Leitz 50.

If you have too much class for the Russian stuff, Voigtlander is your friend. Nice build, nice glass, nice price and nice selection of wide focal lengths.

Yes, this is exactly what have. An F/2.0 version.Really for my style this one lens is really all I need. Though a 35mm one would be cool.

Our son Cody died on 2/24/12 - this is a picture of him from 2009, with his usual continous migraine. Program Plus, DA 70, expired Fomapan 400, D-76, Epson 4490

I'm afraid the J-12 with its big protruding butt won't work with cameras that have TTL metering. Sad really, as it is such a nice lens...

I do hanker to be able to try a modern Leica sometime though, just to see how it feels.

Ooops! Forgot about the Leica's robotic arm! Nope, the J-12 won't work. It is a tight fit (a few millimeters off the shutter) as it is!

High dynamics, strange exposure, but I like it a lot.

Camera: Pentax MZ-6
