My cat, Raja. Canon T90 with 55mm f/1.2. Tri-X, developed in D-76. Negatives duped with my NEX-7, processed in Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. The blueish tint occurred because I didn't convert the images to gray scale and when I added a bit of 'curves' in PP, the blue appeared. I just left it because I kinda like the tint.

Nice shots of your cat, Raja!

I think he/she is trying to tell you to go somewhere else and leave me alone.

I had a yellow Lab named Raja. Not the brightest dog I ever had. Here he is in his later years.

Continuing my "I'll shoot just about any B&W film I can get my hands on" string of expired films: had the chance to pick up some Tri-X Pan and ORWO NP27 recently, both 120 format and both from the mid-80s. The ORWO looked to be in good condition, so I bought a bunch of it. The Kodak, on the other hand, looked potentially water-damaged, so I only bought two rolls.

Well, results available on the first roll of each today, and care to guess which one looks better?

The smearing is something I also noticed with some medium format rolls of ORWO NP15 that I shot a while back, though it was less pronounced on those. Curious.

Yashicaflex A.
Yashimar 80mm f3.5.
ORWO NP27. (Expired 1985. Exposed at EI50.)

(Tri-X Pan to come once I've sorted through them.)

Wonderful! The first is like collodian wet plate, the second's got a steampunk vibe.

Thanks. Not quite what I was hoping for with the results, which means I've still got another 7-8 rolls in the fridge that I need to figure out where to use.

I think I might expose the next roll at a bit lower EI to see how that turns out, and maybe run one through my Pilot Super to see how the vintage rendering of that camera combines with the "wet plate" look of the film.

Some flowers in my back yard. K1000, M50/1.7, Tri-X. I have forgotten shutter speed and aperture, but I'd guess fairly fast, fairly wide-open.

Heh, nice looking lab. I can't say whether or not Raja the cat is especially smart, but he sure is clumsy! He's so clumsy, it's downright comical. Cats are supposed to be graceful, right? Well, he was AWOL when grace was being doled out.

Nice shots Longbow, I guess we know where the name comes from now. What sort of game do you hunt with that bow?

G026r it seems the Tri-X is in better shape than the ORWO, but like was said before the texture could be used to good effect.

Here are a few more from my travels this summer. These are from my favorite place in Rome. I wish I could visit the Pantheon everyday. It is such a beautiful place.

This one is my favorite of the set. I really want to get into the darkroom and print this. Hopefully before Christmas.

I really like how the texture came out on this one but not wild about my composition. I wish I had place the hole in the top left of the image.
Maybe next time, if I ever get back there

Thanks, we both hunt deer/elk and the occasional grouse with our longbows, but archery in of itself is our passion, been doing it a long time.
