Wow, Phil, your pic kinda reminds me of one I took about 30 years ago with my new (back then) Yashica Mat 124.

Nice! I have tons of local/travel fishing boat shots I've take over the years. One of my favourite subjects.

Well, I don't have tons, but I have quite a few. It's a favorite subject matter of mine as well.

While we seem to be on a boat theme, here are a few. I don't have many, as you can imagine, living in Madrid.

First roll

I'm 2 weeks into my first ever darkroom class. Here's a scan (using the photocopier at my office) of a print from my first ever roll of film developed by me. Ilford HP5+. Pentax ME Super. Why did I wait so long in my life to learn this stuff?

Looks like the print could have used some dodging

I was thinking the same, looking at it again. We'll probably get to that later on in the course. I'm just excited I got something that wasn't total crap!

Well at least you live in the right city to expand your skills.

Office scan of a print made from a negative. That's a 3rd generation image and probably 8-bit on the digital conversion too? So I'd think we're not seeing it as good as the 2nd gen is.

Unfortunately, we don't get access to the scanner in this community college class. So I won't be doing any negative scanning soon. Fortunately, I'll have access to a community darkroom with scanners when my class is over (class schedule interferes with community darkroom hours).
